LG Unlocked
The LG Crystal GD900 is only available through the contract networks in the UK and Asia which is a shame. There is no announcement yet as to whether this LG handset is going to be available in the US it seems that LG are keeping quiet on this issue right now. It does seem strange though since the interest is growing fast judging by the hits we receive from the US, you would think that LG would be falling over themselves to gain ground in the massive market that America represents.
Even more so when you consider that, as we reported on the home page of this site, LG are gearing up to be the number two mobile phone supplier behind Nokia so the decision not to go into the States seems odd.
In the meantime the only way it seems that American cell phone users can get hold of a Crystal is to purchase and unlocked version of the phone. Having looked through what is on offer from a whole host of providers we think that you could do a lot worse than just using EBay. Prices for unlocked LG Crystal’s vary depending on the seller so you need to shop around and compare the deals. For an LG Unlocked you can expect to pay anything up to around $500 but for that you do get a lot of cellphone. Watch out for used versions coming online too, the cell phone market is very fickle and handsets change owners frequently, often they are hardly used.
The plus side is that you are very well protected by EBay policies so you will have no problem with your purchase. If you are not a member of EBay it’s a snap to join and you can start bidding immediately on any LG cell phone or the various accessories on offer.
